Why am I being asked to identify my mobile number or to answer security questions?

As an added measure of security for online purchases and to protect against credit card misuse,  the online store is using 3D secure.

This authentication method is completely controlled by your financial institution and is applied randomly across purchases.

During payment you may be sent a SMS code to your mobile phone or asked to answer a security question. 

All such confidential details are what you would have on record with your financial institution.

Such information is held only within your financial institution,  remains confidential, and is not shared with us or any other 3^rd party.
